Biographical/Historical Note
Born in Thomaston, Maine, Adelyn Bushnell graduated from Thomaston High School in 1908. She became a stage and Hollywood actress as well as author. She was a leading member of the Jefferson Theater Stock Company in Portland. She wrote for the stage, radio and screen as well as four novels set in Maine. Bushnell died in Hollywood in 1953.
