Biographical/Historical Note

Edith Chase Weren was born August 25, 1888 to Edith Lord and Edward E. Chase in Blue Hill, Maine. Edith Chase's siblings were Mildred Chase Hinckley, Mary Ellen Chase, Edward Everett Chase and Virginia Chase Perkins. Edith Chase Weren worked as an assistant in the Admissions Office of Westbrook College from 1956-1960. In her retirement, she was active in her church, the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill. She died in Blue Hill on August 30, 1973.
