Harriet Beecher Stowe collection

The collection of approximately a dozen files includes ephemera and one piece of correspondence related to Uncle Tom's Cabin, one tract by Stowe, 20th century published scholarship about her literary and personal life, two undated stereoscopic views possibly at her Florida residence and an undated photograph of the author. Also an extensive collection of her works published in magazines and newspapers.

This collection consists of typescripts of Brown's poetry (some unpublished) and plays, as well as essays on the subject of writing. A small amount of correspondence and ephemera related to her writing is included. There are also clippings, student papers about Brown, and one folder of photographs from throughout Brown's life. Audiocassette recordings of Brown's poetry, read by her cousin Wayne McKusick, are also included in the collection.

Richards collection which is extensive and provides an opportunity for in-depth research of the lives of the Howe and Richards families.

There are two photo Christmas cards, magazine and newspaper reviews of her books, her obituary, and notes revealing her husband's welfare after her death in 1942.
